Service Terms & Conditions

These Service Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all services provided by ROLL Garage Door ("ROLL," "we," "us," or "our") to customers ("you" or "Customer"). By scheduling, accepting, or paying for services, you agree to these Terms.
1. SERVICE SCOPE AND ESTIMATES
1.1 Estimates: All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on initial inspection. If additional issues are discovered during service, we will notify you and provide a revised estimate before proceeding.
1.2 Diagnostic Fees: Service call fees or diagnostic charges are due at the time of visit, even if you decline recommended repairs.
1.3 Scope Changes: Work not included in the original estimate requires written or verbal approval before commencement. Approval may be provided on-site to the technician.
2. PRICING AND PAYMENT
2.1 Payment Due: Payment is due upon completion of service unless alternative arrangements are agreed to in writing.
2.2 Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payment. A convenience fee may apply to certain payment methods.
2.3 Late Payment: Accounts unpaid beyond 30 days may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate permitted by Maryland law, whichever is lower.
3. SCHEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS
3.1 Appointment Windows: We provide estimated arrival windows. Delays due to weather, traffic, or prior job complications may occur. We will notify you if delays exceed 30 minutes.
3.2 Customer Cancellations: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to $75.
3.3 No-Shows: If no one is present at the scheduled service location and we cannot reach you by phone, a $75 trip charge will apply.
4. WARRANTIES
4.1 Labor Warranty: Labor is warranted for a period specified at the time of service, typically ranging from 30 days to 1 year depending on the type of repair. Warranty terms will be stated on your invoice.
4.2 Parts Warranty: Parts are covered under manufacturer warranties, which vary by component. We will provide warranty information for all parts installed.
4.3 Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused by acts of God, accidents, or external forces

  • Failures resulting from lack of recommended maintenance

4.4 Warranty Claims: To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period. We will inspect the issue and determine coverage at our discretion.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
5.1 Service Limitations: Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not responsible for:

  • Consequential damages (lost wages, alternative transportation costs, etc.)

  • Pre-existing damage to property not caused by our service

  • Damage to property resulting from deferred maintenance or Customer neglect

5.2 Property Damage: While we take care to protect your property, we are not responsible for damage to landscaping, driveways, or other property elements necessarily affected by service access.
5.3 Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
6.1 Access: Customer must provide clear access to the work area and ensure pets are secured during service.
6.2 Accurate Information: Customer must provide accurate information regarding the issue, prior repairs, and any known hazards.
6.3 Safety: Customer is responsible for ensuring the area is safe for our technicians to work. We reserve the right to refuse service in unsafe conditions.
7. MEMBERSHIP TERMS (IF APPLICABLE)
7.1 Membership Duration: Memberships are annual and renew automatically unless canceled in writing at least 30 days before the renewal date.
7.2 Membership Benefits: Benefits are non-transferable and apply only to the enrolled property address.
7.3 Cancellation: Memberships may be canceled with 30 days' written notice. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the membership term.
7.4 Service Scheduling: Annual maintenance must be scheduled within the membership year. Unused maintenance visits do not roll over.
8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
8.1 Informal Resolution: In the event of a dispute, Customer agrees to contact us directly to seek resolution before pursuing legal action.
8.2 Arbitration: Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in Prince George's County, Maryland.
8.3 Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.
9. GENERAL PROVISIONS
9.1 Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
9.2 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
9.3 Modifications: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with the effective date.
9.4 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any written estimates or agreements, constitute the entire agreement between ROLL and Customer.
